Picture this: a bite of champagne-infused cake that melts on your tongue. A cocktail that tastes like edible art. Then imagine both experiences happening under one roof, separated only by a staircase: one floor devoted entirely to French fusion perfection the other to masterfully crafted cocktails, and the the two coming together in decedent pairings that surprise and please the senses. This isn't a fantasy. It's ButterScotch Bakery and Bar, the first and only patisserie/cocktail lounge in the entire state of Arkansas.

But the real magic isn't just in what we serve. It's in who serves it, how they do it, and why they care so deeply about every bite and every sip.

Meet Larissa:

Larissa had one simple dream. Open a Bakery. But dreams don't always start in brick-and-mortar spaces, and don't often fit the tradition's mold.



While dreaming of opening her own bakeshop, Larissa began taking cake and cupcake commissions from her kitchen, pouring her classical training and boundless creativity into each custom creation. By 2020, those commissions had grown into something bigger. Larissa launched Larissa's Little Bakery, a food truck that became a neighborhood fixture, parking where Witching Hour now stands. From that mobile kitchen, she introduced the community to her signature creations: ethereal cupcakes, decadent cakesicles, light & fluffy buttercream, and show-stopping custom cakes that quickly earned her a loyal following.

Then in 2023, Larissa did something bold: she sold the truck and put everything toward a permanent location. Her husband Sam had a pivotal idea— what if the upstairs became something completely different? A cocktail lounge? And just like that, ButterScotch Bakery and Bar was born. Northwest Arkansas's first pastry-and-cocktail lounge combo.

Downstairs: French Patisserie Done Right

Our baking team brings over 20 years of combined experience to Butterscotch. They've mastered the exacting demands of French classics. The kind of bakers who hand-laminate croissants, balance cake formulas, and hand whip fresh-made buttercream.

Can't eat gluten? Vegan? We've got an entire division dedicated to food sensitivities. Our gluten-friendly sausage rolls actually flake the way they should. Our vegan tarts are incomparable from standard tarts.

Upstairs: Cocktails with Personality

Head through the cafe and up the stairs, and the energy shifts. Dim lights, elevated atmosphere, you've entered into the mature side of the Butterscotch. 21+. Upstairs in our Cocktail Bar, Sam Gibson, an award-winning national educator with 13+ years of bartending credentials leads a team of professionals that handcraft cocktails for our guests with authentic, house-made ingredients. Every quarter, our menu rotates with ButterScotch Originals: drinks invented right here that you won't find anywhere else. No detail is too small, down to handcrafting each and every syrup used, every garnish. Mustard seed egg white foam? Made in house. Toasted marshmallow garnish on the side of your old fashioned? Made from scratch in our kitchen. But don't think we ignore the classics. Beer, wine, shots, and yes, alcohol-infused pastries are available as well. Ask your bartender what pastry pairings go well with your drink.

The Café: Community Driven

Our bakers have perfected the almond Croissant, the fruit tart, and the perfect bite size cheesecake. Macrons, eclairs, and choux buns are always available. Led by head Baker Cass, the cafe menu rotates monthly, providing new flavor profiles and new experiences each time you return. Members can even vote to return fan favorites to the cafe! Stop by our Café and you'll notice something: our staff actually cares. They know flavor profiles. They suggest pairings based on your mood. They'll even recommend other places in Bentonville if we don't have what you're looking for.

We mean it when we say we're community members first, business second.
